Just one year on from the launch of Space & Time Manchester in Salford Quays, its success is clear for all to see. Recent account gains such as Dilusso Kitchens, Cambrian Homes and the expansion of Miller Homes as a result of the recent Fairclough acquisition, are testament to the huge impact Norma Scott and her team are having on the Northern media scene. To help manage this fantastic growth, we shall be moving to our new 2,500 sqft offices just around the corner on the 8th floor of Furness House at the end of February – oh yes, and there will be a party to celebrate too! Not to be left out though, expansion was also necessary at our Surrey offices where work is almost complete on an additional 1,200 sqft of open plan office space, a further meeting room and a second kitchen.
The acquisition of a majority share in Langridge Hammersley Advertising in June last year went extremely well and is now truly part of the Group business. With established offices in London and Royal Tunbridge Wells and expertly run by its Chief Executive Ed Langridge, LHA LLP is set to expand into other regional centres within the next 12 months and we look forward to bringing you news on that shortly.
The Reigate office has not been without its success stories too. Our recent ISO 9000/2001 audit proved once again that the systems and procedures that we operate here in Reigate are exemplary, and for the second year running our accreditation was renewed after a fabulously satisfactory audit, with not a single non-compliance in any department.
Staff changes have also taken place with Martin Andrews becoming Business Development Manager – this role has been specifically created to enhance the already strong buying ability of Space and Time and to focus on new media initiatives and ideas to provide an even greater array of marketing opportunities to our clients. Adding to the already vast experience within Space & Time, Matthew Pilcher joins the management team as Strategic Planning Director. Matthew was previously Marketing Director of Nestle and before that, planning director at a top London agency. His appointment is part of an on-going commitment to add yet more strength and creativity to the overall Space & Time proposition.
With group media billings nudging an incredible £80m for the 2005/6 fiscal, it is important to underpin the stewardship of the business so that our clients continue to receive the very best in account management and cost effective media planning & buying solutions. The Board are delighted therefore to announce that with immediate effect Sandy McCartney will become Managing Director of Space & Time Media Limited. Sandy's wealth of experience and exceptional account management skills are well recognised and respected by clients and media owners alike and it is likely that her promotion will come as no surprise to those who know and work with her. Peter Jones becomes Chairman of Space & Time Media and LHA LLP where he will devote a greater proportion of his time to client specific projects, marketing meetings and the further development of the Group's business.
